I mean really, what’s better than food?
I’ve always had a passion for cooking and especially cooking for friends. I think there’s nothing better than sitting down to a delicious family-style meal with some great people.
That said, I also don’t think the food we eat should be unhealthy. Of course I believe we should indulge in healthy snacks…(ahem cupcakes) every once in a while but we still need to be mindful of what we food we are putting into our bodies. Too many people struggle with their weight not realizing that healthy living is a lifestyle choice – not a diet. For that reason I have created this site – for skinny girls (and boys) with big appetites. I definitely don’t believe that calorie counting is necessary or that it should even be encouraged (unless losing lots of weight), but I like to include caloric information on all my recipes just so the information is there for those who want it. My belief is that getting healthy is not about suffering and eating foods you don’t like, but rather about finding the foods that are good for you and making them delicious so that it’s okay to eat a giant helping (or two)!
And that’s worth celebrating! Hence the balloons 😉
